Homicide Detectives Are Combing A Vacant Lot In The “Compound” For The Remains of Stopa Associate Steven Cozzi

It’s been over a year since Mark Stopa associate Steven Cozzi disappeared. Prosecutors have charged Cozzi’s alleged killer, Dr. Tomasz Kosowski with murder. He is currently sitting in the Pinellas County jail waiting for a trial date for Cozzi’s murder.

Detectives still have not located Cozzi’s remains.

Law enforcement believed Cozzi’s remains are located in a Collier County landfill. However, homicide detectives and forensic pathologists have never been able to locate Cozzi’s remains in the massive landfill.

However, FDLE homicide detectives may have finally caught a break in locating Cozzi’s remains.

Law Enforcement Receives A Credible Anonymous Tip

Acting on a tip from an anonymous whistleblower. Homicide investigators are combing through a vacant lot in the “Compound” in Brevard County. 

The 3,000 acres of vacant lots have been a breeding ground for all kinds of criminal activity.

For over 30 years, the former General Development site has also been a dumping ground for dead junkies and murder victims. 

Brevard County has barred property owners on their lots in the Compound. Why they are blocking the development is anyone’s guess. Community influencers believe the land is contaminated with toxic chemicals.

Homicide detectives and forensic pathologists are focusing their search near Port Malabar Unit 52 TRACT A29. Note – a land description is being used because addresses have not been created.

The land is allegedly owned by Mark Stopa under Federico-Stopa Holdings LLC acting as Trustee.

FDLE Investigators long suspected Mark Stopa may have been involved in Cozzi’s disappearance. Cozzi worked for Stopa-Federico crime family capo Jake Blanchard. Both Blanchard and Cozzi were subpoenaed by investigators in the Mark Stopa criminal investigation.  After being grilled by Stopa, Cozzi indicated as a licensed attorney, he had to tell the truth about what he knew.   

Shortly thereafter, Cozzi went missing.

Investigators have always suspected Stopa was somehow involved. However, they could never prove it.

They also believe Stopa was sending a message to Blanchard and the rest of his crime family attorneys. The message, “If you cross Mark Stopa, you’re a dead man!” 

Is Steven Cozzi Buried On Mark Stopa’s Land?

Was Cozzi going to rat out Stopa?

After being pinched in a crime family sting operation, investigators theorize that Cozzi was going to spill the beans on Stopa. 

Both Stopa and Dr. Kosowski had beefs with Cozzi and investigators believe Stopa saw an opportunity to manipulate the Doctor into eliminating the Cozzi problem.

They suspect Stopa hired Kosowki as the hitman and provided him material support to dispose of the body on his vacant land in “The Compound.”

Stopa figured no one would look in the Compound since 3000 acre abandoned development was filled with dead hookers and junkies.

Stopa concocted an elaborate scheme (wow what a surprise), to throw off investigators and cover up the crime.  He instructed Dr. Kosowski to drive to Miami as a diversion to make authorities believe the body ended up dumped in the everglades.  While he buried the body on his lot in Brevard county where he knew no one would look for it.  

Proving that an arrogant criminal will always return to the scene of the crime, Stopa later drove back to Brevard County just to appear on WESH 2 News for a 2 minute segment about dead bodies being dumped around his land.    

All the while knowing that is literally where all of his bodies are buried.   Was the psychopath openly mocking and taunting investigators to catch him in some sick game?

Seriously, how can anyone be so f*cking stupid?   

Editors note:  We had heard unsubstantiated rumors that Stopa’s parents are blood brother and sister and he was the product of incest. If that is true, it would explain why Stopa is so f*cking stupid.  It would also explain a lot of other things.  It would explain why the family moved around so much (to hide the horrible secret) when Stopa was a boy and why Stopa is so mentally deficient and suffers from mental health and anger issues.  It may also explain why he has unequal, down-syndrome like body proportions and suffers from a very rare genetic condition hermaphroditic penile agenesis where he is part male and part female and has no phallus.  It is well established, children of inbreeding and incest have major genetic, physical and mental problems.
