There has been a lot of disturbing chatter in Florida judicial circles lately. It has to do about retired 6th Circuit Chief Judge Anthony Rondolino and his bromance with disbarred fraudster Mark Stopa.
Well, all good things must come to end and the Rondolino-Stopa bromance is no exception. Several judges in the Tampa Bay area say Rondolino kicked Stopa to the curb.
They say it’s because of Stopa’s toxicity. Rondolino’s former colleagues commented about how everything Mark Stopa touches turns to toxic waste.
Mark Stopa Humiliates Himself During The Breakup
Most break ups aren’t pretty and this one is no exception. Anthony Rondolino finally was man enough to put his foot down and end this whole sordid affair.
Naturally, Stopa begged and cried for forgiveness. Stopa, cried, “Tony, don’t do this! They’ll send me to prison without you by my side!”
However, Rondolino would hear nothing of it.
The disbarred lawyer apparently clutched Anthony Rondolino’s leg refusing to let go saying he would change. Unfortunately for Stopa, it was too late for redemption. Rondolino rejected Stopa’s pleas and told Stopa never to contact him again.
Why Did Judge Rondolino End The Bromance With Mark Stopa?
Anthony Rondolino was trying to enjoy his retirement by spending time with his grandchildren. He was also hoping to cash in on the legal lecture circuit. This lecture circuit pays big bucks to former chief judges to give speeches to lawyers and other judges.
Unfortunately, his bromance with the toxic Mark Stopa made that impossible. Namely, with FDLE and the FBI investigation into Stopa for RICO and tax evasion. Rondolino didn’t want to be associated with Stopa in any way shape or form when he gets indicted.
Rondolino complained people would constantly accost him about Mark Stopa every time he walked into Publix.
Prominent Florida lawyers would also question Rondolino about Stopa on the golf course. Everywhere he went people asked him about the disbarred lawyer. It just became too much. So, Rondolino ended it.
