Disbarred lawyer Mark Stopa likes to brag about his bromance with 6th Circuit Judge Anthony Rondolino. But is it true? Is it more than a bromance?
The way judges in the 6th Circuit behave and treat Mark Stopa, it very well could be. Besides, Stopa isn’t shy about shouting, “Judge Rondolino is my bitch!” every chance he gets.
Stopa often bragged about his relationship with Rondolino even before his office got raided in August of 2018.
Former Stopa associates say Stopa often bragged about being golfing buddies with Judge Rondolino. However, these former employees of Stopa’s law firm don’t recall ever seeing Stopa play golf or having a golf course membership.
They say all he ever talked about was his fantasy football league. Employees also say he would also often boast about his sexual liaisons with foreclosure mill attorneys he was fighting in court.
However, they say they found his stories of sexual liaisons hard to believe. They said Stopa was actually the type of guy who had Friday date nights with Miss Michigan when he his wife were on the outs.
Mark Stopa’s Colossal Flop Of A Book
Stopa doesn’t boast about his golfing outings with Judge Rondolino in his book, “People V. Money”.
However, he does write about detailed private conversations with Judge Rondolino in his book.
People v Money was Stopa’s failed self-published the book. Stopa tried to re-invent himself after the Florida Bar kicked him out of the legal profession for his unhinged behavior and for ripping off his clients. You can read the referee report from his disbarment here.
The 800+ page book is a narcissistic rant with Stopa blaming everyone else for his disbarment but himself. He also trashes Pinellas County judges. He claims they wanted him disbarred because was “winning too much.”
Stopa also claims in his book that Pinellas judges are taking kick backs and bribes. Hence, the reason why they wanted him kicked out of the legal profession. He also claims bankers, judges and the media all conspired to destroy him. But, like everything else the voices in Stopa’s head tell him to claim, he can’t provide any evidence to support his claims.

Stopa Claims He Has A “Close Personal Relationship” With Judge Anthony Rondolino
He even implies he and Judge Rondolino have some type of a scam going. On page 617 of People V. Money, Stopa claims he met with Judge Rondolino after FDLE raided his office in August 2018. He quotes Judge Rondlino as saying,
“I’m glad you still feel like you can chat with me; just don’t take me down with you.”
On pages 617 and 618, Stopa discusses a meeting with Rondolino in August 2018 regarding the criminal allegations against Stopa:
In fact, Rondolino spent the greater part of the previous hour expressing his sympathies for my plight and acknowledging the impropriety of the Warrant. How did this odd sequence of events come to pass? During one of the toughest times in my life, in the aftermath of the raid on my office,
I went to Rondolino’s chambers to talk. With my personal laptop in FDLE’s possession and an outline of this book on the laptop, I knew it was only a matter of time before someone told Rondolino I’d begun writing this book.
By telling him myself, I could gauge his reaction. Plus, I wanted Rondolino to know about the Contracts, and Rose’s omission of them from the Affidavit, so I could decide whether he was embroiled in the web of lies precipitating the Warrant. When I mentioned this book, Rondolino kept a poker face -an unusual reaction amongst two people who spoke so candidly.
Major red flag. When it came to the Warrant, however, he could not hide his astonishment. Months later, I can still recall the stunned look on his face as I recounted Rose’s procurement of the Warrant without mentioning the Contracts. When the blood returned to his face, the Chief Judge of the circuit from which the Warrant was issued acknowledged it shouldn’t have been signed.
To my surprise, in fact, Rondolino didn’t lay blame solely on Rose, noting that Farnell was “just a duty judge” who handled “drug court.” Nonetheless, here he was, ending our conversation by expressing his fear of being “taken down with me.” Why? Upon reflection, it was obvious why Rondolino believed I’d be “taken down.” I knew too much, and the system was intent on silencing me. For a long time, though, as I replayed that conversation in my head, I wasn’t sure what caused Rondolino to fear I might “take him down” with me.
Is Judge Rondolino Abusing His Authority As Chief Judge To Help Mark Stopa?
By now it obvious, Stopa isn’t shy about bragging about his bromance with Judge Rondolino. Stopa even does it in open court either. At a December 6, 2022 Pinellas Family Court injunction hearing against a South Florida blogger who Stopa doesn’t like, Stopa claimed the blogger was conspiring with MarkStopaVictims.com to cyberstalk him. Stopa openly admits multiple times during the case he has no evidence to support his claims the blogger has any connection this website. However, that didn’t stop Stopa.
Stopa said on the record that Judge Rondolino agreed with him that the blogger and MarkStopaVictims.com were conspiring to cyberstalk him and dox him. Yet, Stopa provides no evidence.
Stopa even admitted that fact multiple times. Yet, no one has presented any evidence to show the blogger has any connection to this site.
Stopa claimed in the hearing that he had been conferring with Judge Rondolino about his litigation against the blogger. He also asserted that Judge Rondolino was giving him legal advice and support in his litigation.
As a result, Stopa claims Rondolino referred the matter to the Pinellas State Attorney on Stopa’s behalf. This leads to a more disturbing question. Why is Judge Rondolino involving himself in and interfering with one of Stopa’s frivolous lawsuits?
Unfortunately, this was enough for Judge Helinger to issue an injunction against the blogger.
Several weeks ago, the state attorney filed a notice with the court stating they had already investigated Stopa’s delusional claims of cyberstalking and were not wasting taxpayer money on another investigation.

Could Family Court Judge Be Kicked Off The Bench For Siding With Stopa?
The case is currently on appeal with the 2nd DCA. Sources say complaints are also being prepared for the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission because of Judge Helinger’s conduct in the case. The errant Judge now could face a public reprimand. He could also face being removed from the bench. Thus, possibly losing his taxpayer funded pension.
It appears Judge Helinger knowingly violated a number of the blogger’s due process rights and Florida Court Rules. The blogger who lives in Palm Beach County was served on the evening of Thursday, December 1, 2022 for a hearing the following Tuesday morning. This is essentially two business days for the blogger to find a lawyer and prepare a 250 road trip. The blogger immediately filed a motion to postpone the hearing to so he could retain legal counsel or at minimum appear telephonically.
Helinger ignored the bloggers request. His judicial assistant claimed Helinger never received it. However, at the December 6, 2022 hearing, Helinger acknowledged the blogger’s motion and allowed Stopa to continue with the hearing. The transcript of the hearing is now public record with the 2nd DCA.
When the blogger motioned to have a rehearing the judge’s response was essentially, “Tough shit. You should have been here.”
Helinger has a history of erratic behavior. He also has a history of giving abused children back to their drug addicted parents.
Mark Stopa Is Lawyering Up
Word on the street is Mark Stopa has lawyered up. Seems FDLE and Feds are finally making their move.
Once the massive RICO scam Stopa is running out of Rondolino’s 6th Judicial Circuit hits the Tampa Bay Times, the careers of Rondolino and Helinger will be over.
Its unfortunate Mark Stopa made them look like such fools.
They should retire now while they still have their dignity.
