Mark Stopa Once Helped St. Pete Drug Addicts Feed Their Drug Addictions By Giving Them Free $100 Bills
Yes, its true. Mark Stopa once helped St. Petersburg’s army of homeless drug addicts feed their addictions.
Back in June 2014, Stopa was flush with cash from scamming his foreclosure clients. So, he decided to show the world what an awesome caring guy he was. So, he calls up a local TV station and tells them he’s going to pull a Don Ameche from the 1980s movie, Cocoon. He’s going to give way free $100 bills to random homeless people in Williams Park.
Anyone who lives in Florida knows that most of the homeless here have serious drug addiction issues. Namely, crack, meth, opioids, etc. Basically, drugs that make people violently unpredictable when they come down from their high. If you have ever experienced someone jonesing from crack or meth, it’s not a pretty sight. You need to stay far away from these people. They become violent. They could possibly harm you to steal whatever possessions you have. They’ll take anything of value and trade it for drugs.
Is Mark Stopa Once Helping Homeless Drug Addicts Get High A Sign Of Mental Illness?
Stopa’s publicity stunt raises a number issues that question Stopa’s his common sense and his state of mind.
Let’s start with his lack of common sense. When you hand out free money to homeless drug addicts in a park, what do you honestly think they are going to do with it? Is Stopa really that dumb or naive?
No. He’s a basically a self absorbed narcissist and sociopath. In other words, he’s like a drug dealer. Who helps out a handful of people with a problem with one hand and seeks attention for it.. Yet, he is destroying the lives of hundreds of people with the other.
Stopa wants people to see his handful of good deeds. For example, why would you call a local TV station to tell them he is going to hand out free no-questions asked money to homeless drug addicts in a park?
Or, why does he make it public knowledge that he’s donating tens of thousands of dollars of his ill-gotten money to St. Petersburg Catholic High School?
That’s also not very Christian-like for a guy who claims to be a devout Catholic.
It’s to make people not notice the way ill-gotten ways he makes his money. Stopa preyed on hundreds of people promising help in their foreclosures. He ended up stealing their homes.
Stopa’s new scam involves filing fake foreclosures against the houses he stole out from under his victims.
Stopa is currently under an FDLE investigation for his scams.
