Meet accused pedophile Robert Tankel. He’s a prominent HOA lawyer and the newest scumbag lawyer of the Stopa-Federico crime family.
Tankel has also recently become Mark Stopa’s BFF because he just helped Stopa steal over $2.4 million in the Bella Collina HOA fraud foreclosure.
Unfortunately, Tankel also has a dark side. Prosecutors accused him of molesting a little boy back in 2015.
Clearwater Police accused Tankel of “rubbing the little boy’s genital area.”
Tankel had taken the boy to a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game.
The Clearwater Police say the boy was introduced to Tankel through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County. Police also released a phone conversation between Tankel and an official from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County.
In the call, Tankel said, “I understand that what I did could possibly be interpreted as inappropriate.”
Tankel admitted giving another boy from Big Brothers Big Sisters a “Purple Nurple”. It refers to when somebody squeezes someone’s nipple so hard, it bruises.
Tankel was arrested and held without bond. At Tankel’s hearing, Officer Justin Murray testified that he interviewed the victim who told him that the lawyer inappropriately touched the boy twice at that baseball game. The first incident allegedly happened while they were sitting in the stands.
“Bob was sitting next to him,” Murray said. “Bob reached over and rubbed his upper thigh underneath his shorts.”
Murray said the boy told him the second incident happened while they were leaving the stadium.
“He stood next to Bob,” he said. “Bob rubbed his penis… with his hand over his clothes.”
and then “he pinched his butt and it felt like electricity.”
